4 STEPS OF HUNTING with LLH:
The 4 Steps of Hunting is a clinic series that we’ve put together to help introduce new comers and their horses to the sport of fox hunting. Step 1: Unmounted Hound Walking | Saturday, May 17 Walk with us while we take the hounds for their morning exercise. Meet the hounds, see them walk and play as a pack, learn the basics of hunting from our members and ask any questions you have before you bring your horse out. Step 2: Trail Ride | Saturday, May 31 Get your horse ready to ride in a group, follow safely behind others, keeping pace with other horses, learning hand signals that field masters use, etc. Step 3: Mounted Hound Walking | Saturday, June 14 Get your horse exposed to the hounds, the horn, and riding in a group. Step 4: Low Key Hunt Try a short hunt of 2-3 lines followed by a tailgate breakfast. Pick the day that works best for your schedule: Saturday, June 28 Wednesday, July 2 Saturday, July 5 Wednesday, July 9 Cost: $100/person *cost can be applied to full membership fee
